In Croydon FC’s narrow FA Cup replay loss to Faversham Town, no more than 10 of the 16 man squad were made up of Kinetic Academy graduates.
The new club link with The Trams is just our latest addition in providing excellent footballing pathways for all of our young people leaving the Academy programme at 18.
Having drawn the first leg in Croydon 0-0, a difficult away trip to Kent for the Tuesday night replay ended in heartbreak for Croydon. Having pulled the game back to 1-1 and dominating a lot of the ball, Faversham scored on the counter to steal the tie 2-1.
We are all extremely proud of the players for making the step up to non-league football so quickly.
