On the 6th January 2014, the Kinetic Foundation, in partnership with Surrey Physiotherapy, began the Forever Fit exercise class. This class is aimed at older adults, who are at risk of falling, and individuals with osteoporosis. The class gives them a chance to do exercises that: strengthen their bones, improve and maintain balance and practice specific everyday movements under the supervision of exercise professionals.

As there are over 4 millions hospital bed days each year in England due to falls and fractures in people aged 65 and over, Forever Fit began as a way to combat and reduce the number of falls older adults suffer from. Forever Fit is very welcoming and after the exercises are done, you are welcome to stay for a cup of tea or coffee, a biscuit and a chat with all the other participants: now in its 9th week, we have over 30 people registered for the class.

If you would like to join the Forever Fit class, then email ruairi@kinetic-foundation.org.uk for more information about times and location.

Please have a read of some of our participants feedback from the class below:

I have been attending your Exercise class on a Monday morning at the Coulsdon Community Centre and would like to express my sincere thanks to both yourselves and the Kinetic young men for providing an exceptionally great, professional class. Really enjoyable, lovely atmosphere and a great way to start the week. The effort you all put into the running of the class is so much appreciated.  Unfortunately I am unable to attend this coming Monday due to prior hospital appointment, and certainly going to miss it.

Many thanks to you all for your dedication, kindness and giving us all this opportunity of the importance of  exercise.
