Myles Kenlock Ipswich blogIt is with great pride that Kinetic Academy scholar, Myles Kenlock, has signed a 2-year contract with NPower Championship side Ipswich Town Football Club. Myles travelled up to the training ground to complete the signing with first team manager Mick McCarthy this week. Myles will join as a second year scholar in the U18 squad and progress immediately into the U21 squad.

Myles has excelled this season with our Academy having been on trial with a number of premier league clubs. Ipswich Town were the club that finally made an offer and we wish Myles all the best of luck in the next chapter of his footballing career.

Myles joined the Academy at Woodcote High School in July 2013 after finishing his GCSEs. This move opened up new doors with the help of Kinetic, and enabled him to complete his education alongside his main passion for football. Myles, previously on the books of Crystal Palace, expressed his delight in the opportunity he has been given by Ipswich Town.

Perseverance is key to success in the football world. Myles never gave up on his dreams and his hard work on the pitch and in the classroom has paid off. His professional attitude will take him a long way in the game and we look forward to watching him on our screens in years to come. Good luck!
