This week, former Kinetic graduate Josh Maja made his long awaited return against Arsenal U23’s at The Emirates after a long injury lay-off.

Josh, who has been out since August, lasted 60 minutes in North London and Kinetic Academy manager, Harry Hudson, was glad to see him back in action.

“It is great to see him back playing again. After making the bench at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League at the end of last season to then being in the treatment room for a couple of months, you have to show resilience to get back on the pitch and he has done that” said Hudson.

“Sunderland have a lot of games and we hope to see Josh feature in the Championship in the coming weeks.”

We’re all very hopeful that, after a few more games and training sessions, Maja can return to first team action in the Championship and  help Simon Grayson’s Sunderland side back up to the Premier League.

Did you know? Josh’s younger brother, Emmanuel, is a regular in our U18 side this season.
