On Thursday 10th June, we hosted our annual girls’ tournament at Whyteleafe football ground. With 13 teams from across London and over 150 girls in attendance, this year’s edition was our biggest one to date, all gathered for an exciting day of football, games, activities, challenges and physio.

Throughout the day, players had the opportunity to complete lots of different tasks, this included a bracelet making station where the girls made personalised mementoes of the day and a social media station where we filmed some content with all the different players for our social media channels. This meant there was something to do throughout the day for everyone, creating a happy, fun environment.

Thanks to our partners at adidas, we were also able to give the girls the opportunity to try on, and play in, the new F50 Sparkfusion football boots. These are boots designed especially for women and girls so they can have maximum comfort and performance on the field.

We were also joined by FSCR, who offered free physio and analysis to the girls throughout the day as well as jump competitions and warm-up and cool down advice.

The day saw St Mark's Church of England Academy take home the trophy, while Graveney School walked away with the plate! The awards were rounded off with players receiving individual award such as Baller of the Day, Respect Champion and Team Leader.

Thanks to our partners at She Plays Football, the winning team also received 10x free subscriptions to their platform: every drill, every resource, every tool designed to help girls grow and thrive on and off the pitch. To top it off, The Well HQ very kindly handed out 10x copies of their "The Female Body Bible", a playbook of all the elements that go into getting the most out of your body, to the winners, too!
