WHAT WE DO

The Kinetic Foundation is an innovative London-based football and education charity which helps young people who reside in the most deprived areas of the UK, are from low-income households and/or from historically marginalised ethnic backgrounds to stay in education through their passion for football.

Through our flagship programmes, Kinetic Academy and Kinetic Futures, we combine high-quality football programmes with post-16 education pathways, enhanced by employability and mentorship programmes and workshops.

Since 2011, we’ve worked with over 12,000 young people, transforming their lives as we help them to achieve in their full potential on and off the pitch.

We empower young people to successfully transition into employment, training, university, or the professional game, thus achieving social mobility and enhancing their future prospects.

OUR PROGRAMMES

We use football as the main driver for the development of meaningful, impactful relationships. This in turn builds engagement with our education, employability, personal development and mentorship opportunities. Our activity is split into 3 key pillars, each focusing on a different outcome.

  • Two men in black jackets, one with 'Kinetic' written on it, watch a soccer training session on a field with children playing soccer in the background. The children are wearing sports gear and jersey vests.

    KINETIC COMMUNITY

Our widest reaching pillar encompasses community sessions and are open to all aged 13-16; as well as HAF (Holiday Activities Food) programmes, which we run every school holiday for pupils aged 11-16.

  • Soccer coach talking to four Black soccer players on an outdoor field with a goal and trees in the background.

    KINETIC ACADEMY

The key area of our activity focuses on delivering high-level football coaching and educational oversight to 16-19 year-olds in partner schools across London, with a focus on academic studies (both A-Level and vocational).

  • Three women standing in front of a large display screen, holding and passing a white Adidas jersey with red and blue accents. The woman on the left, wearing glasses and a black vest over a white shirt, is holding the jersey. The woman in the middle, with long curly hair and a gray sweater, is handing the jersey to the woman on the left. The woman on the right, dressed in black, observes the exchange. Background includes an digital display with pink athletic shoes.

    KINETIC FUTURES

All Kinetic students get access to mentorship, employability and entrepreneurship workshops to broaden their horizons and build their future pathways with the aim of reducing their chances of having NEET status.
