ST MARY’S MEN’S FOOTBALL

St Mary's Men's Football Club is the largest club at the university, fielding five competitive teams in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league. The club caters to a wide range of abilities, from high-performing players competing at the top level to those looking to engage with the sport in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

While each team trains and competes independently, the club operates as a unified community, built on a shared sense of belonging and mutual support. All teams compete on Wednesdays and benefit from two structured training sessions per week. Over the course of the season, each team takes part in ten league fixtures and a cup competition, culminating in the prestigious West London Varsity - the highlight of the club's sporting calendar.

St Mary's Men's Football Club is proud to be an internationally diverse club, with members joining from across the world. The club is also actively engaged in fundraising for both internal initiatives and charitable causes.

Players are selected on the basis of physical and technical ability, tactical awareness, and attitude - qualities that are considered accessible to all, regardless of natural talent. St Mary's Men's Football Club competes with confidence and respect, and welcomes new members of all abilities at the start of each season.
