YOUR FUTURE ON AND OFF THE PITCH
The Kinetic Foundation is an innovative London-based football and education charity. We support young people from some of the UK’s most deprived communities, low-income households and historically marginalised ethnic backgrounds, to stay engaged in education through their passion for football.
Our Kinetic Academy and Kinetic Futures programmes combine high-quality football coaching with academic or vocational qualifications, alongside employability workshops and mentorship. Together, these create supportive environments where young people can build confidence, develop new skills and access real opportunities that broaden their horizons.
By providing the right support, we empower young people to develop successful futures on and off the pitch. Whether that means progressing into employment, training, university or the professional game, we help our young people reach their potential to achieve social mobility and enhance their prospects.
WHY WE EXIST
Our mission is to use football to engage and inspire young people, so that they are empowered to complete post-16 education and achieve their full potential on and off the pitch.
The UK has high levels of young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) and low levels of social mobility.
Linked to this, a young person's outcomes are disproportionately affected by the demographic and economic status they are born into. Through delivering our mission, we aim to break this cycle.
OUR PROGRAMMES
We use football as the main driver for the development of meaningful, impactful relationships. This in turn builds engagement with our education, employability, personal development and mentorship opportunities. Our activity is split into 3 key pillars, each focusing on a different outcome.

KINETIC COMMUNITY
Our community pillar encompasses free football development sessions open to all aged 11-16, as well as HAF (Holiday Activities & Food) programmes, which we run every school holiday for pupils aged 11-16.

KINETIC ACADEMY
Our post-16 football academy is the key area of our activity, focusing on delivering high-level football coaching and educational oversight to 16–19-year-old boys and girls in partner schools across London, with a focus on academic or vocational studies.

KINETIC FUTURES
All students get access to mentorship, employability workshops and networking opportunities to broaden their horizons and build their future pathways with the aim of reducing their risk of becoming NEET.
