Different week, different cup final but two Kinetic teams contest it again. The Gtech Community Stadium, home of Premier League club Brentford FC, saw North London take on South London as Kinetic Harris City Academy Crystal Palace went up against Harris Academy Tottenham in the London Schools Cup Final.

For a second week running, a penalty shootout was needed to decide the winner (After HCACP vs. HASN last week in the Croydon Schools Cup Final also went the full way). A very closely contested 90 minutes of football but there could only be one winner… (unfortunately for us!)

Kinetic HCACP 3

And Kinetic Harris Academy Tottenham got the win in the penalty shootout to become Champions!

Rossi Eames, Kinetic Head of Coaching: “It was a good occasion for both teams from Harris Academy Tottenham and Harris City Academy Crystal Palace to experience playing in a Premier League stadium, all Kinetic staff and players had prepared very well leading up the game. The commitment and identity of Kinetic Foundation was also apparent in which HATO deserved to win after all their penalties bar one was scored well.

Our coaches, Dan and Loong, put on a good tactical battle with both full backs rolling side and used their build phases in different ways how it was a shame no goals were scored in normal time. For the second years involved it was a good send off as they move onto further education and employment in which we are pleased to see how much they have developed as people, not just players.”

Man of the Match was awarded to Kinetic Harris Academy Tottenham’s number 7 Jack Hilaire!

We’ve like to say a massive thank you to Utilita Football for gifting us the use of the pitch for this special occasion!
