59 Kinetic players and staff embark on their trip to Gothenburg on Sunday 13th July for an unforgettable week. Preparation is well under way and all three squads are now in week 4 of their training programme after the U16s finished their GCSE exams.

We have a team in the B16 age group, B17 and B18 tournament. We have been invited back this year into the B17 “Tipselit” tournament (http://www.gothiacup.se/eng/home/gothia-tipselit-trophy-2/) for professional clubs after our good showing last year. This now means we are one of 24 clubs from around the world competing in the main Heden Centre, in front of thousands of spectators. The majority of games in the centre of town (where all of our teams are playing!!) are broadcast live on Swedish television and can be streamed online from the Gothia Cup website. Please follow the links below.

The B16 squad, coached by Adam Knight, have been drawn in the same group as local professional set up IFK Gothenburg; their fixture will be on television on Tuesday at 4pm Swedish time (3pm GMT) and in the main Heden centre for the local fans. They also face an academy from Argentina and Sweden.

The B17 squad play 2 Swedish academy sides and a Hungarian academy in Valhalla, a stadium in the middle of Gothenburg. This tournament, as mentioned above, is for the elite academies around the world; Kinetic Academy are representing England alongside Doncaster Rovers and Newcastle United. http://results.gothiacup.se/2014,en/category/2742930 This competition was won by Everton last season.

The B18 squad plays all of their fixtures at Heden, and are drawn in a group with a Swedish, Danish and Australian team. A squad which is made up of boys who have been with Kinetic for the past three seasons stand a good chance of going far in this age group.
