We are delighted to see Kinetic Academy graduate Ali Koiki sign a new two-year contract at League One club Northampton Town. The 23 year old joined the Cobblers back in the summer of 2021 from Bristol Rovers and has made seventy two appearances across the last two seasons.

Jon Brady, Northampton Town Manager: “We were keen to keep Ali at the club and this is very good news. We believe Ali has improved and developed in his time with us but we think there is still more to come from him and under our coaching and our guidance we hope he will continue that progress. Over the last couple of years he has become an important player for us and we are delighted he will be part of our squad in League One this coming season.”

Ali Koiki became our 23rd signing to a professional club that has been on our academy programme when he joined Burnley FC in September 2016. Ali reached 100 professional career appearances back in March with the majority of those coming at Northampton Town. Kinetic Foundation Co-Founder, Harry Hudson, speaking at the time said: “Fantastic for Ali to get to 100 appearances. He’s had quite a hard journey in football but he’s stuck at it, showing great resilience and character to find his place in professional football. 100 appearances is no mean feat. Really, really pleased for him and his family!”.

Congratulations on the new contract Ali!
