We were delighted to see the Lionesses achieve their landmark legacy UEFA EURO 2020 goal: for every girl in England to be given equal access to football and school sport.
As part of the announcement, the UK government will make it clear to schools that they are expected to deliver a minimum of two hours of PE per week and ensure that girls have equal access to all school sport, including football.
At Kinetic Foundation, we will continue to play our part in increasing opportunities for girls to play football through our free weekly training sessions across London and with the launch of our first full time girls academy programme at Harris Academy Bromley, a new site for us in our partnership with Harris Federation.
