We are proud to report that Myles Kenlock has featured regularly for Ipswich Town over the Christmas Period.

Kenlock, 20, who left our scholarship programme for Ipswich Town in the summer of 2014, has cemented his place in the first team squad this season, the first of which came in late October of 2016.

Since then, quality performances have persuaded Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy to give the youngster the nod across the festive period, including the December 13th away game at Birmingham City and a Man of the Match performance on the 30th at home to Bristol City.

Kenlock’s most recent start was against QPR in a Championship fixture at Loftus Road where Ipswich suffered at 2-1 defeat in a tight game. Another solid performance from Myles in this game features a mazy run which was smartly saved by QPR keeper Alex Smithies.

In the 77th minute Kenlock was brought off due to a calf injury but was encouraged by the McCarthy who said “Myles has done great, I’ve been delighted with him and if he hadn’t had that injury at QPR he wouldn’t have come off”.

Hopefully Myles has a speedy recovery and is back to his best very soon, putting in some more outstanding performances.

Keep it up Myles!
