For the first time in their history, Royal Russell School have reached the final of the U18 ISFA Football Competition.

In a close semi-final, Royal Russell ran out 1-0 winners over a well organised Hampton side. Ross Obazee was the hero crashing in a thunderous volley to send the boys to the final.

Head Coach and Academy Manager, Harry Hudson could not hide his delight at the final whistle.

“It has been three years of hard work to get to this. All of those long hours on the training pitch are worth it to get to the final.

“To lose in the semi-finals last year was something I did not want to experience again and fortunately Ross (Obazee) has produced a moment of magic when it mattered.

“The job is not done yet and I expect our toughest match of the season against Millfield next month.”

The final will be played at Stadium:MK at 7pm on the 20th March. For ticket information and how you can support the boys, click here.
