End of Year Review 2022

What a year it’s been at the Kinetic Foundation:

– Record hours of engagement across our academy programme ✔️
– The start of Girls Football ✔️
– Record signings to pro clubs in one year ✔️
– Record number of boys on our programme in education through our partnership with the Harris Federation ✔️
– Introduction of workshops from Beyond Equality to the programme (more on that in the New Year!) ✔️

        

– 4 Kinetic Girls being Visa ball kids at the UEFA Women’s Euros ✔️
– Record number of university taster day visits ✔️
– Successful Inflexion fundraising football tournament ✔️
– Record amount of showcase games in one year ✔️
– Nationwide press coverage with a Sky Sports feature, multiple feature articles in newspapers, South of the River documentary on Netflix ✔️

         

– A group of Kinetic girls getting the opportunity to do a training session on the pitch at Selhurst Park ✔️
– Brilliant Rutland Partners LLP fundraising football tournament ✔️
– Another 2 Project United Tours ✔️
– A visit to Citi and the trading floor for a group of our young people thanks to Ronan Liston and Ben Travers ✔️
– A great football tournament & career advice workshop with Mott MacDonald (Ben Saxon) ✔️

        

– A visit to St Georges Park to watch the England Mens National Team train ✔️
– New partnerships ✔️
– Further funding from the Fundación Real Madrid and UEFA Foundation for Children to help improve the lives of our young people through our UK Social Sports School ✔️
– Record number of boys on the full time academy programme ✔️

         

– More staff added to the team as we continue to grow ✔️
– Involved in the ‘Football, Rebooted’ campaign with Utilita Energy and former professional footballer David James ✔️
– Invited to Three UK suite at Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea vs. Paris Saint-Germain in the Women’s Champions League ✔️

         

2023 will be bigger and better again as we aim to expand into more schools, develop new partnerships, workshops to help upskill our young people as well as increasing support with understanding mental health and wellbeing, further opportunities to visit a wider range of universities and much more.
