Tyra Mills: “I’m extremely excited to join Kinetic Foundation, where I will look to channel all of my experience and ideas into making an everlasting difference. I hope to replicate with the girls academy the amazing work that Kinetic are doing on and off the pitch with their boys academy.”

Tyra went on to say: “I’ve often found it hard looking into the future and knowing what I actually want to do, however when this opportunity came around, I thought this would be a perfect role for me as I am passionate about football. I know I want to impact the female game from a community aspect and I believe this is the right environment for me.”

James Fotheringham, Kinetic Co-Founder: “We’re looking forward to creating more opportunities for girls to play football in London and very excited to work with Tyra in making it happen. Welcome to the team!”

Tyra’s goals for the Kinetic Girls programme:

  • Increase the participation in schools
  • Increasing the opportunities for girls to play football
  • Help grow and develop female footballers to be the best they can be mentally and physically
  • Replicate with the girls academy the amazing work that Kinetic are doing with their boys academy

Tyra hopes to see Womens/Girls football continue to grow in numbers and that females are more confident within their ability. “I want to hear more female voices come to light in the game, speaking and educating the next generation about their experiences and opportunities they have received.”

Baroness Sue Campbell: “Football has the power to change lives for the better. It can contribute to physical and mental wellbeing, it can provide opportunities to compete and collaborate with others, and it can help to shape the place of girls and women in wider society.”
